Think it was about a year ago that Native Instruments started to release songs as 'stems' for DJ's to have more in-depth control over their sets by having the main parts separated into different tracks, making a lot of more creative decisions possible. Now there is this application that can play stems. Google Play info: and more information regarding Stems: About the Stem format: As an open multi-track audio format, Stems enhances creative possibilities for DJs, producers, and live performers. A Stem file contains a track split into four musical elements: a drums stem, a bassline stem, a melody stem and a vocal stem for example. The Stem format provides the ability to freely interact with a track's different musical elements. Each stem can be controlled independently to create instant new mixes, mashups, instrumentals, acappellas and more. So edjing is now edjing Mix with some new improvements.

FULL VERSION, ALL FX INCLUDED - NO ADDITIONAL PURCHASES, NO POP-UPS 'Cool piece of work.' (DJ Mag) 'An impressive app.' (The Guardian) “Challenging our notions of what can be done on a touchscreen.” (Android Police) 'Good looks, great sounding FX, great sync engine, ‘slip’ mode, proper loops and cues.' So this was funded far over their Kickstarter goal and does look like a solid piece of hardware after seeing the videos of people using it in action. If being a DJ it will be hard to find something this portable and useful.
I Like that there is no need for cables either for electricity (ten hours autonomy) and for connecting to devices as the connections go through Bluetooth. Will also work for windows so it is not tied down to Android/iOS. Think that it is good that they did not opt for making it work only on the edjing DJ application which the same company developed but will work with other DJ apps as well. To read more or to pre-order the mixfader 30% off go here: P.S- The possibility to pre-order will last throughout the summer.

Some of the samples are provided by Loopmasters, so you can check the Loopmasters license agreement at this for reference. And a guide on how to use Loopmasters’ samples: If you are using samples other than the ones natively provided in Remixlive, Mixvibes declines any responsibility in cases of copyright infringement. You can teach Cross to work with nearly every controller on the market in addition to the preset controllers. To obtain the LEDs of working controllers, you should give Cross MAP a try to simple programming. If you use Cross full version, you can also use HID in combination with most PIONEER CDJs. HID means a perfectly fast reaction, as if playing a CD.
And there are plenty of data sent to the player so even the displays are working for Cross. Add more controllers, Cross can handle up to 8 MIDI-controllers. You can use the same model more than once. Sending us a crash report, along with a description of the context of the crash (Cross version and usage scenario that led to the crash) will help us fix and make Cross the perfect software.
Crash reports can be found in the following places: PC: Type Windows+R (that is hold the windows key and press R) and type AppData, followed by enter. This will open an explorer window in the hidden folder « AppData ». Navigate through « Roaming » « MixVibes » « Crashes ». From there you will find the crash dumps useful for debugging. Locate, by date, the one related to the crash you want to describe. This is the file you need to send us. Note that this file is not a text file and can’t be opened (usefully) by anyone than us.
Mac: When Cross crashes on Mac, a popup window stating the program closed appears. This popup window has a « Report » button. Once clicked, you should copy/paste the whole crash report (all the text) and send it to us. You might have used the « Brake“ effect before and forgot to release it. The effect only has influence on the sound but not on the graphics. Release the effect and your music should play again. You might accidentally have slided the crossfader to the opposite side and cut the sound this way.
If you don’t need the Crossfader, you can switch it off for each deck to avoid issues. Therefore you simply click on the according letters beside the Crossfader. Check if you didn’t switch to « Line in“ (Only Player A and B). In case you did there is a big sign in the waveform. You can switch back if you click on the letter on top of the according channel strip in the mixer section. If you are using the free version of Cross DJ, you first need to purchase the « External Audio Connection » in-app to pre-Cue your mix with headphones. This feature is included in the full version.

Go to the « Settings » pannel and use the « Mix-Cue » button to set what you want to hear in your headphones (Mix is the master, Cue is the track you selected). Go to the EQs pannel and press the little headphone logo of the track you want to pre-Cue. You can use them in your performances or record them as a video and there should not be any risk of copyright infringement. That said, copyright infringement detection algorithms on platforms like YouTube might flag your content if another user has already uploaded a video that is similar to yours.
To avoid this, just try to make a recording that is as original as possible. Reselling the content, or some of the content, as part of a package of video samples, as well as selling or distributing samples separately, is not permitted.
