Early Access Review This is currently my favorite fishing game. I played quite a bit of euro fishing, but never could get excited about planet fish. This game offers a good variety of fish, with more to come since it is still in early access. While not without bugs, the developers are actively involved and quite responsive, bringing frequent updates. The locations are beautifully rendered, time of day and weather changes are nicely done.

I use a xb1 controller, this isn't fully supported yet so I need the mouse to navagate menus, but this is on the roadmap to be included. When I bait fish, I just make sure to buy plenty of extra bait and my hook adds bait out of inventory till I run out, then I need my mouse to buy more. Other than that, I can fish a location only needing the mouse to change lures/baits. I suppose this isn't a true sim, if it were I would frequently get skunked, and what fun would that be!
