I have just successfuly installed it on my computer. I used Device Manager, selected the device and right clicked - Update Driver Software., then 'Browse my computer for driver software', browsed to the downloaded folder and select the 'Drivers' folder. A few seconds later I got a message 'Windows has successfully updated your driver software. Windows has finished installing the driver software for this device: WinTV HVR-980'. (Even though my device is labeled HVR-950). The file I downloaded was hauppaugecd3.4b.zip by the way.
