Artcut 2009 Software Free Download
A new and sealed copy of Artcut 2005 came with my Pcut plotter but after installing it on a new Dell PC with Windows XP the program will not open. When you click the Artcut icon it promps me to insert the CD-R and install the program.
It is the simplest tool if you wish to chop all plotters of Chinese, if you come back to the history of it you may see the union of the soviet socialist republic and brings all the items to the republic reforms for currently and for many.
I have read the instructions and can not understand what this is about. The CD2 all seems to be in a different language.
I have un-installed it and re-booted etc etc but it still does the same thing every time. Anyone else had this problem? Is it my computer or maybe a duff copy of the program?
What is the CD2 used for? It has an installer on it but is in a chineese that my PC wont display not that I could understand it anyway! Thanks, Mark. I am having a similar problem with my Pcut 630 and Artcut 2002 software.
After much messing around, i finally have the driver installed for the Pcut and have managed to get the Artcut software to install properly and load but I cannot get the cutter to cut anything. I bought the cutter second hand (8 months old) from a private sale so I am stuck with no backup assistance. If anyone has any ideas I would be greatly appreciative. I can draw in the Artcut software but when i go to cut it just does nothing. The same thing seems to happen with signgo, I can make the lettering but nothing happens when i go to cut.
Mod-edit please see board rules on avatar pictures. Hi there I had similar prob when i bought my cutter 3 months ago, installed the software ( artcut 2005), was able to draw but nothing when came to cut.

After two days, copious amounts of caffeine and way too many cigs, i found that although i had installed the driver it wasn't set up in the correct usb port. I had two disc for art cut software, and one un marked disc, with what looked like pictures on, i ignored this at first, but as i say two days later, looking throu the disc and noticed it was pics of the windows menus i had to set up, which port, and settings required etc. It working fine now. If i can think of any more will post!! I did have prob of the cutter going mad and making random cuts, found the cutter needed to be earthed, just look out for that! Go in to control panel and click the System icon.
Click on hardware tab. Then click on the Device Manager button.
On the list that opens up, expand the item labelled as Ports. Your cutter should be listed there with the port number in brackets. If it's anything other than 1 or 2 then that could be your problem. Right click on your cutter name and select properties. Select the Port Settings tab and click the Advanced button.
There is a drop down list where it says port number, you need to select COM1 or COM2. I changed mine from COM12 to COM2. If something else is already using that port number then you may need to reassign that afterwards as it still might not work. I tried sharing a port and it wouldn't work for me.
If Artcut allowed you to select any port then this wouldn't be a problem but as far as I can tell it will only let you select LPT, USB, COM1 & COM2. USB wouldn't work for me so I settled for COM2 and the cutter works perfectly. You will then need to tell artcut what port it is on before it will work. I notice some comments about 'dummy' or 'demonstration' versions of Artcut. There are no such things. There is only one, fully working version. I have suggested many times to Beijing Wentai (the writers of Arcut) that they should provide better (some?) service and support the product better, they argue that it is sold cheaply (AU$8) so they can't afford to.
I have tried to explain to them that if they made it AU$100 and offered some service and assistance customers would be happy to pay that price. Practically all problems people have getting Artcut to talk to cutters (of all flavours) are due to either settings in Artcut OR (and most often) issues within your PC. So many times I have corrected these problems simply by running a registry fixer program. Artcut will not tolerate any such registry issues. Chinese companies are used to reformatting and re-installing their operating system every few months as the level of trojans and viruses floating around there is simply incredable. Chinese users never have these connection problems as their systems are always freshly installed. Westerners don't do this and so problems creep in to their PC often without them knowing about it.
If you want a truly reliable system, running Artcut, buy a second hand $100 PC and run ONLY Artcut on it - you might be surprised at how reliable it actually is - every single sign shop in China runs Artcut and they do OK with it.
